Service Description
This private 120-minute session offers a personalized Butoh experience tailored to your level and interests. You will receive individual guidance and deeper creative exploration with Daiji Meguro. This session is ideal for individuals, couples, artists, dancers, researchers, or small groups who wish to explore Butoh in a private setting. The content can be adjusted to your experience level, whether you are a complete beginner or have prior movement experience. Through focused guidance and extended creative time, participants gain a deeper understanding of Butoh’s physical and imaginative approach while discovering new possibilities within their own movement. As this is a fully private session, the pace, intensity, and focus can be adjusted according to your goals. Whether you prefer a gentle introduction, a research-oriented exploration, or a more physically challenging experience, the structure can be customized to suit your needs. This course is also suitable for special occasions, cultural study trips, artistic research, or meaningful travel experiences in Kyoto. Available upon request. Self-introductions A brief introduction by the instructor and participants. 2. Butoh demonstration A 10-minute demonstration by Daiji Meguro. 3. Warm-up A detailed Butoh warm-up to awaken and prepare the body. 4. Butoh basic exercise Exercises that coordinate different parts of the body. By linking them together, movements gradually expand to the whole body with increased awareness and control. 5. Early Butoh choreography method An exploration of early Butoh choreography, where movements are created from images inspired by words. 6. Daiji Meguro's choreography method Participants develop movements rooted in their own experiences, sensitivities, and imagination rather than relying on difficult techniques. Important notes ・Please wear comfortable clothing. ・Changing rooms available (no showers). ・Barefoot activity. ・Conducted in English. Intellectual property rights 5.1 Ownership The intellectual property rights related to this service (Daiji Meguro Butoh demonstration, Butoh Choreography Method) belong to Daiji Meguro and are protected under the copyright laws of Japan and abroad, treaties concerning the rights of authors and related rights, and other laws and regulations related to intellectual property rights (hereinafter referred to as "Relevant Laws"). The intellectual property rights related to this service, which belong to Daiji Meguro, are not licensed for use by users of this service. 5.2 Protection The intellectual property rights related to this service belong to Daiji Meguro and are protected under the Relevant Laws. 5.3 Prohibitions Users must not engage in any acts that infringe on the intellectual property rights related to this service and must comply with applicable laws. 6. Prohibited Actions When using the Service, Users are prohibited from engaging in the following acts or any similar actions: 6.1 Violating the terms of service. 6.2 Violating laws or engaging in criminal activities. 6.3 Performing acts that are deemed inappropriate under social norms. 6.4 Infringing upon intellectual property rights, portrait rights, privacy, reputation, or other rights and interests of others. 7. Violation of terms If users violate the terms, service may be suspended and, in some cases, legal action may be taken. 8.
